Unisex Fashion from Rad Hourani
In a modern world, where gender boundaries are often blurred, unique collections such as the latest offerings from Rad Hourani are undoubtedly going to get noticed.
In fact, this innovative collection with its sharp tailoring and slick design, is making history in July 2012 for being the first non-gender specific fashion collection.
In discussing the inspiration behind his designs, Hourani makes it clear that he does not merely consider himself a designer, but uses his designs as a platform expressing his beliefs that fashion should be without boundaries.
He states "I started imagining clothes the same way I started creating images : with a sense of curiosity and innocence driven by my no- background. No school. No teachers. No telly. No boundaries. No formatting. I like the idea of a world that we could live and shape by ourselves, only by observing. Each our own. My clothes have erupted from this world of mine. They are A-sexual, A- seasonal"

Peter Jensen & Tippi Hendren - a Trending Muse!
The legendary Tippi Hendren is trending like crazy today on Twitter. The iconic star of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds will be portrayed by Sienna Miller in a upcoming BBC2 biopic. This isn't the first time Tippi has had a mention recently, she is also the well-deserved muse for Peter Jensen's forthcoming Resort Collection. Its always a thrill for me to visit Peter's showroom in Shacklewell Lane and view his new creations and this collection is particularly stunning, see below some of my highlights! We are due delivery at URSA LOVES in early December.Wednesday, 4 July 2012
Nautical Style by Wood Wood
The weather in England may be very, well… English. But that
doesn’t mean we can’t brighten up our mood with one of the longest-enduring
trends in fashion: nautical!
Dating back for decades, the nautical trend is definitely here to stay, so investing in quality pieces that will endure many summers is essential. And everyone loves a little seaside blue and stripes to bring
some of that holiday cheer into the daily muck. What better time than
during a solid week of rain? We need something to smile about! Take a look at
our very own Danish brand Wood Wood for some luxuriously soft cotton and jersey
pieces...
These high-waisted Evelyn shorts are a stylish alternative to daisy dukes:
Or give the ever-comfortable Elvarado cullottes a try:
The Nelin sundress will carry you through for summers to come:

Soundtrack For A Rainy Day
London was grey and rainy this Monday morning. We find that the best way to forget all about the bad weather is to put on some good music and make a nice cup of tea. One of Ursa Loves favorites for a rainy day is definitely the Icelandic band Sigur Rós and they have got some really exciting things going on at the moment.
The Valtari Mystery Film Experiment is an invitation to 12 filmmakers around the world. Sigur Rós has given them all a modest budget and invited them to create a film reflecting their thoughts and feelings while listening to their new album Valtari, released in May this year.
"We never meant our music to come with a pre-programmed emotional response. We don’t want to tell anyone how to feel and what to take from it. With the films, we have literally no idea what the directors are going to come back with. None of them know what the others are doing, so hopefully it could be interesting." – Sigur Rós
They are releasing 2 films every month through out the year and so far it looks amazing. So if you, like us, love beautiful visuals and great music then check out the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment HERE.
Sigur Rós is not our only Icelandic favorite though. Kron by KronKron is an Icelandic shop and label based in Reykjavík. Ursa Loves is privileged to stock some of their amazing shoes for women. The design is unique, colorful and beautifully feminine. Have a look at our selection HERE or have a look at the Kron by KronKron blog over HERE.
